Hourences, a Louisville-based web design company, announced Thursday that it has raised $1 million in Series A funding from Capital One Ventures.
The round, led by the company’s founder and cofounder, David Leong, comes at a time when Hourences’ stock price is climbing as investors believe it is poised to capture more of the digital design market.
“Hourences’ goal is to make the design and branding process for digital products, like websites and mobile apps, easier, more accessible, and more effective,” Leong said in a press release.
“We believe that a simple, user-friendly, web-based design process can significantly reduce the time and cost associated with designing and creating digital products.
This approach also has the potential to increase the quality of digital products.”
The investment comes just a few weeks after the company made waves with its new, $2.5 million web design office in Louisville, which is located near the campus of the University of Louisville and serves as the company to launch.
Hourences will be focusing on building the business in the city, with an initial staff of 10.
“As we grow, we’ll be able to hire more designers and more designers with backgrounds in design,” Leons said.
“If you want to make money online, you need to design something.
This is the future.”
Hourences also announced it will be adding more employees to the team, with new hires to be added in the coming weeks.
“The growth of Hourences has been exponential over the last two years,” Leones said.
“[The investment] gives us the ability to accelerate our hiring.”

The Steelers signed former 49ers general manager Trent Baalke as their new general manager on Monday.
He replaces longtime coach Mike Pettine, who is expected to stay on through the 2020 season.
Tomlin and Baalke both had their names on the NFL’s initial list of candidates to replace Goodell, who retired after the 2017 season.
But both had been under pressure from fans and players, with both teams recently announcing that they would be staying in their respective divisions during the off-season.
The Steelers are expected to unveil their next general manager at a news conference Tuesday at 3 p.m.
The team announced in June that it would be selling the naming rights to Heinz Field to private equity firm Bain Capital, who also owns the New York Mets.

But when I’m shopping for a new business to start, I can’t think of anyone who deserves my help.
When I started this blog, I knew I wanted to create a platform for people to talk about the things they do in their spare time.
So, I started with just the basics: I wanted people to be able to read, share, and discuss my blog posts.
Then I wanted the community to have a voice.
And then I realized I needed to make sure I didn’t get too much hate mail.
So I built a mailing list and put up some basic content on the list.
The first couple of months, I got hundreds of comments, some good and some bad.
But it’s been a steady stream of new visitors since then.
When you’re designing a website, you don’t have time to wait for the community or for the negative comments to fade.
You just want to get the best product or service that you can, and people are coming to you because they want to help you.
But some of the negativity is misguided.
In fact, some people have taken it as a sign that the community isn’t listening.
It’s time for a change.
So why should I care?
Because you can have a successful website without a community of support.
There are plenty of sites out there that will help you build a community without a site, and I know a lot of people who have a site and a website and nothing else.
It doesn’t matter if you’re creating a new product or creating a website for your company.
There’s nothing wrong with starting with a blank page, building a few features and then building a community around your product.
The important thing is that you have a great community, and you can get there by following these five steps.
Write the Site.
Every site needs a story.
In other words, every website should have a website.
If you’re starting out with a website with a few basic features and you’re not getting a lot in the way of traffic, you’re probably not doing your site justice.
Your visitors should be able do everything they want.
And you shouldn’t be worried about the traffic you get.
Most people who write a blog don’t get a lot out of it.
They don’t read the articles and write comments.
Instead, they write comments, make their own content, or read a few pages of other people’s posts.
So how do you create a story for your site?
A great place to start is with a basic premise: Why are you creating a site?
If you have an idea for a product or a website you’d like to create, ask yourself the following questions: 1.
What is the purpose of the site?
What does the site do?
What kind of audience does the user base have?
What are the features they use?
What are their motivations for using your product or website?
What is their interest in reading your content?
What features would you like to see in the product or the website?
What would the user experience be like?
For example, what would it look like?
How would it interact with other products or websites?
For a product, a website might look like this: 1) A simple homepage.
2) An on-page navigation menu.
3) An icon menu.
4) An “Explore” button.
5) A dropdown menu.
6) A “Customize” button with the option to make your product look different, or add a special function.
7) A search bar.
8) A navigation bar with search options.
9) A sidebar with buttons and links to other areas of the website.
10) A contact form.
11) A short summary of your product’s features.
12) An image gallery.
13) An in-page video that summarizes the product’s most important features.
14) An analytics dashboard.
15) A blog post that summarizes your product features and how you’ve implemented them.
If the website is an app, it could look like the following: 1: An easy to use interface with simple navigation.
2: A single, easy to understand interface.
3: An intuitive, powerful interface with a list of features.
4: A rich set of features to customize.
5: An interactive navigation bar and a powerful video viewer.
6: A powerful, customizable, and customizable video player that allows users to quickly switch between video and audio.
7: An online store with a single-click shopping cart and an extensive shopping experience.
8: An integrated payment gateway that enables payments to be made with credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, or another credit card.

A new web designer in Los Angeles is using the square to bring a fresh perspective to his design work.
Aurora Jones, whose work includes space-age graphics and interactive designs, created the ‘Square Design’ site in April.
Jones told CNN that he initially used a traditional design approach to create the site, but that he felt the square gave him a more contemporary aesthetic.
“I thought the square was a natural place to place my graphics.
I think it was a nice way to place them,” he said.
Jones’ website was created on a computer and uses a combination of graphics and text, but he says it’s important to create a “neutral” look.
“It’s not like I’m trying to use any specific color or a specific style, I’m just trying to make something neutral,” he explained.
Jones said that he wanted to make a visual statement, but didn’t want to use a lot of space.
“You want to make it really simple,” he added.
The site uses a mix of photos and videos, which Jones said were inspired by the space shuttle Discovery.
“The main reason why I’m using the space is because I don’t want it to be too big, I don, I just want it just a little bit smaller, just a bit less,” he told CNN.
“That way, when people see it, they’ll know exactly where to look,” Jones said.
The website features more than 100 square-shaped images, which are grouped into categories, such as music, books, games, food, clothing, art, and much more.
The first gallery is a mix-and-match of vintage photos and vintage art, which he says are “like a cross between a picture frame and a drawing table.”
He said he was inspired by space shuttle imagery, but felt that the space also represented the importance of finding ways to use technology to create art.
“Space exploration has been the catalyst for a lot more things in the world,” Jones explained.
“You see space shuttle missions, you see space, you don’t see it.
You just don’t think about it.”
In the same way that technology has helped us be more aware of ourselves and our surroundings, it’s also really allowed us to make more beautiful artwork,” he continued.
